All programs are designed for people with little or no experience. Our guides and muleteers are going to be with you permanently for you enjoy your horseback riding activity in Cusco. We work with tame horses; our horses know very well the roads in Cusco.

The minimum age to participate in our rides is 08 years old.
There is no maximum age; this depends on the physical and mental conditions of our client.

  • Long pants (preferably jeans)
  • Closed shoes (with rubber soles or walking shoes)
  • Shirt or Long Sleeve Shirt
  • Rain gear (at least if the weather forecast gives any significant chance of rain during the time of the ride)

PS: Do not wear jewelry or valuables to ride.

Use sunscreen during the horseback riding tours in Cusco.

Bring extra water for the ride

PS: Just in case, the guide in charge always carry a first aid kit with you, which will only be used in emergencies. The guide is not authorized to provide any medication that is not covered in the parameters of first aid.

You can enjoy our rides and equestrian trails in Cusco at any time of year.

The weather in Cusco is unpredictable during the rainy season, then we can’t know if it  is a good idea to do the activity if there is raining or if there was raining hardly the day before.

Because of this we have the following options:

  • change the departure time. (instead of leave 9:00 a.m., we leave 13:30 p.m.)
  • change the date of the tour.
  • cancel the tour definitly.

The practice of outdoor activities has inherent risks. To reduce them to a minimum at “Horseback Riding Cusco” we work with qualified personnel and qualified guides with experience in the places in which they operate.

We are proud of our guides, and muleteers.  All have a deep knowledge and great love for the work they do. Thanks to them, our safety record is excellent.

For all our programs will be accompanied by muleteers, and professional guides who constantly ensure your safety and satisfaction in your adventure. All our guides are graduates of the University of Cusco and technical training institutes, they are accredited with their respective Professional Carnet.

Our services are given in a “private mode” to ensure that you and your guests have a great experience with “Horseback Riding Cusco” the only companions will be the guide and the muleteers.

There is no problem if you come alone, you can arrange the ride for one person without any problem.

It is good to carry some cash as pocket money, maybe you are going to want to buy: sweets, drinks. There is no obligation to tip the guides and muleteers but these are always welcome.
